Where has the week gone? I can't believe it's Wednesday already. Didn't realize it was so long since the last post. I've been knitting . . . surprise !!
Another sample for the Plus-size book. This top down has a pattern worked along the V on the Front and down the centre Back. This one is my size and I started it to check the pattern. I'm not working on it right now. I'm working on the 57" size in purple. Next post I'll be able to show you. It's a really pleasant knit. I'm going back to it right now. See ya,

Ta, da. My reknit of the Body is done. I'm very pleased with it. Once this is dry I have 1" to add to the sleeve cuffs and the front band to do. I can see the finish line from here.

I'm custom knitting this for one of our models. Custom knitting is an anxious exercise for me. I don't usually knit for other people. Do you enjoy knitting for others? Does the fit become a problem?

Little Voice

Have you noticed that sometimes when you're knitting a little voice in the back of your head is telling you that something is not quite right? It's an easy voice to ignore. But sooner or later you have to pay attention because it won't go away and seems to get especially loud at 2:30am. After a night or two of that I did the big frog. Yeah, a really Big Frog.
Did I mention that it's a little tiny voice and easy to ignore for a long time?! But once the decision to frog is made, painful as that may be, it feels so much better to get going again. Now I'm happily reknitting the cables.

We are at that tricky spot in the book production where we have to take a really good look at our samples and make decisions. Does it stay or does it go?
I thought the edging on this sweater would be great, Not. It flares out and doesn't quite work. It looked fine on the little sample I made but we all know that they lie.
I'm also rethinking the amount of flare on this cardigan so that means taking the skirt section half way back. But I think that will make all the difference and make it right. I'm looking forward to it now that the decision has been made. It's the decision that's painful, not the reknitting because as we all know it's always fun to knit cables. Then I think this will be a keeper.

Lyn got a deal on some full spectrum lights.
So now I can take photos at 5pm which is usually when I think of it. My buttonband is almost done. This weekend I needed a break and a non-knitting weekend. This takes a lot of distraction. This project did it for me.
A HUGE puzzle. It's the size of my entire kitchen table! We are eating on the coffee table until I get this done, 2000 pieces, it's going to be a while. It's slightly bigger than I had anticipated and extremely distracting.

I'm hoping this looks longer. I keep measuring to make sure. Just 3" left to work before the bottom border begins and I'm ready for a change. Once I get to the bottom border it always seems like it's close to being done. I like all the picking up and knitting that goes into the front borders. It's exciting to see it becoming a cardigan. Lots to look forward to. Just a bit more straight knitting to do.
