Most of the excitement is over. And I am thinking up a better knitting plan for next year. I hate to shop! So next year I am knitting all my presents. That's my New Year's Resolution.
I got one knitting present from my mom. It's a felted planter. Cool eh? She went to a craft show and saw it and had to buy it for me. It's needle felted and amazing. I always go and buy myself a Christmas present. This year I went to a wool shop in Bradford and bought Dream in Colour, Smooshy. Oh my it's lovely.

ReplyDeleteThat yarn is beautiful! After seeing the hat I made for my great-nephew for Christmas, my nieces decided they would love some knitted hats! I am anxious for your new hat book to come out so that I can get started on next years Christmas gifts. In the meantime, I am going to start a pair of socks from you "First Time Socks" pattern. ReplyDeleteSocks, yet another item on my I want to learn how to list. Nice colors on the yarn you bought yourself. It's been years, but there have been years when I made (knitted, crocheted, and or cross stitched) everyone's gift. Now the family doesn't exchange gifts anymore so I'm able to concentrate on charities, except for what my daughter wants...and the things that remain on my I should make for myself list.
